Arizona Science Outreach








Science on the Road was first established in 2002 as "Hands-on Space", an inquiry-based space exploration program located in central Connecticut.

With many more science programs offered across a wide variety of scientific disciplines, Science on the Road has relocated to the Phoenix, Arizona area.

We emphasize the following concepts throughout all of our programs:

The value of scientific inquiry
The use of science in daily life
Historical contributors to science and technology
The use of measurement as an important scientific tool
The value of reading and mathematical skills
Deron Ash
Our lead educator, Deron Ash, has taught over 10,000 students and teachers in hands-on, interactive workshops and presentations!

His career in informal education has spanned over 10 years with experience in science content development at the Arizona Science Center (Phoenix, AZ) and the Imagine Nation Children's Museum (Bristol, CT).
