Presentation
Program
Students
hear tales of some of the mythical beasts and legendary heroes that inhabit the
night sky as they connect the dots. Students will even get the opportunity to
role-play characters as we journey through the night sky learning about celestial
motions, constellations, and solar neighborhood.

Hands-on
Workshops
Extend the presentation experience with
hands-on, science-inquiry workshops! Mix and match the following activities to
create your own custom workshop!
Starscope (K-5th) : After selecting the constellation of their choice,
children construct their own home-made "planetarium" tube (20 minutes).
Starfinder
(1st-5th): Students are introduced to how a starfinder/planisphere works and help
build one of their own to take home (20 minutes).
Worlds
in Comparison (2nd-5th) : Working with colored playdough, students follow
a step-by-step method for creating planetary models in the correct proportions
and come to some surprising conclusions (30-35 minutes).
Night
Sky Tour (2nd-5th) : An outside review of major constellations and stellar
navigation (weather permitting). Our state-of-the-art laser pointer makes seeing
particular stars and constellations a snap!
